Lesson 12 - Tritones |
Regardless of what key your playing in, you can use tritones in your chord changes to create rootless movements with minumal effort. The distance between the two notes in a tritone subtitution is a tritone (skipping one chromatic note three times) hence the name. Tritones add dept to your playing and are in most Gospel songs.
